England

I am in England visiting my family over the Christmas break! We have been here for a week and I just thought I would put a post up about what I have been doing here. First off I got a dslr camera for Christmas which is really exciting I will be creating more scrapbook and crafty stuff now that I have more photos. I will be sure to post about that as well as the other projects that I am doing. My room is at a standstill due to trip and finals week but, I will start when I get back from vacation.
Today we went into London and went to the British Museum as well as to Regent Street. I just chilled in Brighton where my grandparents live the others days I have been here. I cant wait to get back so that I can get started working on my album from this vacation and just winter break in general. I am thinking that I will use this blog not only to post crafts but, also to post about my life.

Memorabilia

As I begin cleaning my room I find lots thing that are small memorabilia this included art projects from freshman year, awards, photos, maps of places I have been, and other random things that I would like to keep but clutter up my desk. My plan for all these things is for them to go on a bulletin board like the one above. I will post more clear directions then the picture expresses when I finally make the board but I hoping that it will cover a pretty large amount of area.  The colors will also fit my room. This is just one way to show your photos and what not.

Step 1

The first step is always the least fun and the hardest: cleaning. It is a slow process because you have to look though everything and determine what it worth keeping and what it not. A lot of times you think that everything is worth keeping and you are hesitate to throw anything anyway. But, the biggest way to change your room and make it look more grown up is to have it neat and organized.
Many people find it start to get started cleaning since especially if you room is a totally mess it can seem like an impossible process. I always start with the floor since it is the easiest thing to clean. Many times all you have is throw your dirty clothes away find the random stuff that ends up on the floor and through it away. The harder things to clean and organize is your desk space and any sleeves you might have. It is important to not get discouraged and take the process in bite sized pieces make sure that you mini goals as well as the main objective.
Once your room is clean you can really start making decorative decisions and the real fun can begin.

My Plan

Since I was little girl I have loved planing things. Since I was 7 or maybe 8 I always planned my own birthday parties and when I was in 1st grade my parents decided to renovate our attic and this meant that I would get my own room and that I could decorate it however I wanted. With all the wiseness of a 1st grader I decided that I wanted a disney themed room. By the time my mom I where done painting (and if I am completely honest it was all my mom) I had 10 different colors on my walls as well as stripes and poka dots. I know a 1st graders dream. Since this decision I have been obsessed with changing my room.
I am Junior in high school now and over holiday break I will trying to decorate my room with a few things that will hopefully make it look a little more mature. I have gotten a lot of my ideas from pinterest and hope that all work. I hope that I can keep posting these update and I hope to included pictures. Note: The picture above is similar to my old room and not what I want to do since this room screams pre-teen.
